There are all sorts of type of people in this world all with different type of driving habits, but what I'm pondering about this time, is the influence of having a companion with you when you drive.
What kind of effect does having a specific person or companion as your passenger will have on your driving habits and such?
Here's what generally happens to me:
No Passenger:
I have full focus on the road, least distraction, nearly no mistakes, takes corners like there's a racing line there for optimal speed/friction/efficiency.
With Spouse:
Drive like a drone, obey all speed limits, fear of mistakes increase, life feels like being threatened.
With Friends:
Low focus on road and surrounding, often distracted, mistakes become often, tries hard not to talk to friends ...
How about you?
What happens to you when you have that someone in your car?
Do you get distracted?

When I started liking Subaru?
SUBARU
I've always been a Subaru fan since young, it all started when I first heard the deep exhaust note of a GC8 slowly rumbling pass me at a crawling speed as I sat there on the sidewalk near the ferry port with a couple of ruffians back in the days.
I explicitly said then, the exhaust sounds so nice.
But being a kid back then with no employment, it was beyond a dream to own a subaru.
It never even crossed my mind to one day own one.
The price back then was way out of league for someone who was probably still in high school, unemployed, no savings, lives off no allowance and hangs out with some rough edge people.
Back then, all i could think of was getting a Toyota Soluna or Mazda Astina / 323 at best, not that I could afford those, but it was a plan when I eventually start working. It was the closest to being sporty and affordable/budget back in those days. By the time I got out of school, these 2 cars was already obsolete. Hahaha.
I guess that was beyond 10 to 20 years ago ... It's been a really long time.
Best to clarify, I have no interest in any other models of Subaru other than Imprezza and Forester Series, and I prefer to have mine with turbos ;)

20150218 - Just before I could get my dream car.
Mid February of 2015, just a little over 2 years ago, I was finally able to loan my dream car since I was still a wee teen.
I remembered it quite well, cuz I was really excited to get a hold of the car that I really wanted for so many years.
It was just a few days before I got the car, all the loans and proceeds had just settled in, and it was just around the Chinese New Year's public holiday. I handed in the cheque money asap to the reseller so that he may process the release for the car to me.
I had quite a few more days before the holiday, the chances of me getting the car before the holiday was a solid confirmed!
I was extremely enthusiastic about getting the car before hitting the new year holidays! That would've been a blast. It would've been the greatest belated birthday gift and the best new year's gift to myself!
